This patient had opaque and uneven crowns. The patient's upper front teeth were of different shapes, color, size, and length. The old porcelain to metal crowns are bulkier than today's all porcelain crowns. This could contribute to gingival inflammation and the gum pulling away, leaving a dark visible line between gum and tooth. The treatment, for this patient, was to recontour the gum, in order to obtain the proper tissue height. Porcelain crowns were placed on the upper teeth, giving the patient a naturally beautiful smile.
